In the final quarter of 2020, the UK's personal finance app landscape saw varied user engagement across top budgeting and planning applications on a unified platform. Data compiled by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the performance of these applications in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Emma - Budget Planner Tracker experienced a notable uptick in downloads, peaking at around 11K in late October, while weekly active users surged to over 52K in the week leading to Christmas. The app's revenue also saw a significant rise in the same period, with figures reaching over $10K by the end of December.

Splitwise witnessed a steady revenue stream throughout the quarter, with the highest weekly revenue recorded at nearly $1.2K in early December. Downloads for the app, however, showed a downward trend, decreasing to around 2.5K towards the year's end. The weekly active users mirrored this pattern, dropping to just over 22K in the same timeframe.

For Budget Planner l Snoop Finance, which does not report revenue, the downloads fluctuated, with an initial decrease followed by a spike to over 4.6K in the last week of December. The app's weekly active users also saw a rise towards the end of the quarter, reaching nearly 23K.

RoosterMoney: Kids Chores App showed a mixed performance with downloads initially stable around 2.4K in October and then dipping to 1.5K in early December before a notable jump to nearly 3K at the end of the year. Weekly active users experienced a slight decrease over the quarter but ended with an increase to over 16K.

Lastly, Money Manager Expense & Budget presented a consistent revenue in Q4, with a small peak at over $800 in late November. Downloads saw a gradual decline from 1.1K in late September to under 700 in late December, but the weekly active users concluded the quarter on a high note, increasing to over 14K.
